Severe weather warning for East Yorkshire

A severe weather warning has been issued for the east coast and higher ground in East Yorkshire from Sunday night into Monday morning.

Temperatures are forecast to dip as low as minus 12C (10F) bringing a severe frost with freezing fog patches.

The Met Office also said snow showers were expected near the coast.

Earlier this month heavy snowfalls in East Yorkshire damaged factory and supermarket roofs and led to pressure being put on ambulance services.
