Extra grit supply for North East Lincolnshire

Extra salt for gritting roads is being delivered to North East Lincolnshire in the event of further severe weather.

The council said part of its January delivery of 1,000 tonnes had been brought forward with 330 tonnes expected to be brought this week.

Jason Longhurst, from the council, said he was confident the authority had enough salt stock.

A severe weather warning for heavy snow and icy roads has been issued for North Lincolnshire for Tuesday.
