A fire at a house in Pocklington in which a 47-year-old woman died is not being treated as suspicious, Humberside Police have said.

Crews from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the house on the town's Edward Street at about 2130 GMT on Monday.

The woman's body was found in the property a short time later.

A spokesman for Humberside Police said it was thought the cause of the fire was accidental.

He added that the woman's family had been informed and a file would be prepared for the coroner.
