Grimsby Town Hall attacked by arsonists three times

A town hall in North East Lincolnshire has been targeted by arsonists three times, the fire service has said.

Humberside fire service was called to Grimsby Town Hall on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

The latest incident happened at about 0215 BST on Wednesday in the doorway of the archive building.

All three fires were started in the same location. The fire and police services said arson wasted valuable time and resources.

Pete Baron, from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Arson is a totally unnecessary and deliberate act that can put lives in danger.

"Even a small rubbish fire can escalate into a much larger incident with far more serious consequences."

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
