Fuel thieves across East Yorkshire target parked buses
- Published
Thieves are targeting haulage and bus firms across East Yorkshire by stealing large amounts of diesel fuel from the vehicles.
Humberside Police said organised gangs were thought to be responsible for more than a dozen incidents in recent weeks.
Officers said that even vehicles kept in secure compounds had been subjected to fuel being drained.
Police said they were advising firms to keep fuel levels to a minimum when vehicles were parked overnight.
