Cyclist killed in A18 crash named as Steven Shaw Prime

A cyclist who died after a collision with a white van in North Lincolnshire has been named by Humberside Police.

Steven Shaw Prime, 47, of Station Road, Hatfield, was on the A18 between Crowle and Thorne when he was in a collision with a Mercedes Sprinter van.

The crash happened at about 05:15 GMT on Wednesday.

Police said the 27-year-old driver of the white van suffered minor injuries and was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Officers believe Mr Prime was cycling in front of the van prior to the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
