Man found fatally hurt on Cleethorpes driveway

The death of a man who was found injured on the driveway of a house in Cleethorpes in being investigated by police.

Humberside Police said the 48-year-old man, who was from Cleethorpes, was found on Princes Road during the early evening of Saturday.

Officers said the man had suffered serious internal and head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics, but later died at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.

Det Supt Dena Fleming said: "We are investigating the death of a 48-year-old man but it is too early for us to speculate about how the victim suffered such serious injuries.

"We have already carried out a number of inquiries in and around the Princes Road area of Cleethorpes and officers also visited a number of Cleethorpes venues in order to try to establish the victim's movements prior to him being found on the driveway of a property on Princes Road.

"At this time it is not clear if this was a tragic accident or a suspicious incident.

"We are unable to rule anything out, making it vital anyone with information relating to the incident or how the victim received such serious injuries comes forward."

Police said the family of the man was being supported by specially-trained family liaison officers.
