Fatal East Yorkshire crash biker was newlywed Phillip Cleary

A motorcyclist who died in a head-on collision in East Yorkshire was married just two days earlier.

Police believe Phillip Cleary lost control of his bike before colliding with two cars on the A164 near Middlethorpe Farm, Market Weighton.

Mr Cleary, of Rosewoods, Howden, died at the scene of the crash on Monday.

Family and friends have paid tribute on Facebook to the 34-year-old, who married his fiancée Gemma on Saturday. Police have appealed for witnesses.

A friend who set up the page, called In Memory of Phill Cleary, described him as "one of the best friends a man could ask for and without a doubt the funniest guy I have ever met".

Another friend said: "He had the best smile ever, really cheeky always beaming."

A spokesman for Humberside Police said Mr Cleary's Honda motorcycle was in collision with a Toyota and a blue Ford at about 18:55 BST.
