Crowle car crash: Victim named as Richard Crooks

A 19-year-old man who died in a car crash in North Lincolnshire has been named by police.

Richard Crooks, from Epworth, was driving along the A161, near Crowle, in the early hours of Sunday morning when his car left the road, Humberside Police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car's passenger, a 20-year-old man, also from Epworth, sustained facial injuries and was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital for treatment.

Police said the reason for the crash was "as yet unknown" and have appealed for witnesses.
