Man appears in court accused of Grimsby murder

A man has appeared in court accused of the murder of another man in Grimsby.

Sheikh Zubair Hamidi, 48, from Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, was found by paramedics on Tuesday at his flat on Freeman Street. He had been renovating the property.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple head injuries.

Junaid Hamidi, 28, of Clacton-on-Sea, was remanded in custody at Hull Crown Court and is due to appear at the same court on 12 January.
