Man dies after being hit by car in Hollym

A man has died after he was hit by a car in East Yorkshire.

The 45-year-old pedestrian, from Keyingham, was knocked down on the A1033 in Hollym at about 18:20 GMT on Thursday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 17-year-old local boy, was uninjured, Humberside Police said.

The road was closed for more than three hours after the crash. Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
