Grimsby man John Smith died from 'serious' knife wounds

A man found dead at a house in Grimsby suffered "serious" knife wounds, police have said.
John Smith, 69, was discovered in the doorway of his home in Carnforth Crescent at about 06:40 BST on Sunday.
Mr Smith's injuries were caused by a knife, according to Humberside Police. A force spokesman said it was treating the death as unexplained.
Officers have appealed for anyone with information to come forward. No arrests have been made.
Det Ch Insp Umberto Cuozzo said inquiries were ongoing.
"We are making extensive enquiries to establish events leading up to the death of John Smith, which we are treating as suspicious but as yet unexplained," he said.
"The question of whether anyone else is linked to his death remains unanswered and we are therefore keen to establish more information in connection with Mr Smith's lifestyle."
