Man jailed over Hull nightclub arson attack

A man has been jailed for five years for an arson attack on a nightclub in Hull.

More than 300 people were evacuated from Valbon on George Street when fire broke out on 20 February.

At the city's crown court, Scott Jackson, 24, of Delius Close in Hull, admitted a charge of arson.

Jackson was jailed for five years for arson. A one-year suspended sentence imposed for an offence of assault was also activated by the judge.
