Police hunt for masked car park attackers in Grimsby

Three men are being hunted by police after a man suffered "life-changing injuries" during an attack in a car park.

It happened on Tuesday night in a car park close to Albert Square, Grimsby.

A 22-year-old man from the Liverpool area was attacked by three men wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons, Humberside Police said .

The force is appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

Det Insp Paul Dixon said: "As a result of this incident, a 22-year-old man has suffered life-changing injuries and has had to undergo emergency surgery at Hull Royal Infirmary."

He said the force was keen to trace two women who went to the man's aid until ambulance crews arrived.

Details of his injuries have not been released.
