Winterton school stabbing: Teenager pleads guilty
A teenage girl has admitted stabbing a teaching assistant at a school.
Joy Simon, 61, suffered serious injuries in the attack at Winterton Community Academy, near Scunthorpe, in September.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to be sentenced in January pending the results of a variety of reports.
She admitted wounding with intent and possessing a bladed article at Hull Crown Court.
The girl, who was first arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, was told by Judge Jeremy Richardson QC that all sentencing options remain open.
