Goole man detained over teenage car crash deaths

A man has been detained for causing the deaths of two teenage passengers who were killed in a car crash.

Levi Dickinson, 16, from Selby, and Rhogan Jones, 17, from Goole, died after the car they were in hit a tree in Barnhill Lane near Howden, East Yorkshire, in February.

Benjamin Bowden, 20, was sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders institution at Hull Crown Court.

He admitted causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

Bowden, of Broadway, Goole, was 19 years old at the time of the crash, which happened on the evening of 7 February.
