A 21-year-old woman from the Medway towns in Kent has been killed outside a nightclub in Ibiza.

Francesca Foulkes, of Rainham, suffered fatal injuries when she was hit by a suspected hit-and-run driver in San Antonio in the early hours of Sunday.

Her father, Julian Foulkes, a special constable with Kent Police, has paid tribute to a "wonderful person".

"As well as being outgoing and popular, Francesca was also extremely kind and considerate to others," he said.

"It's proved to be very reassuring to know that she was so well thought of by friends and people at work.

"In fact, we didn't realise just how many friends she had and how much everyone liked her.

'Wonderful person'

"As a family we are coming to terms with our loss and would like to thank everyone for taking the time to send their thoughtful words and support.

"Francesca was a wonderful person and we are all proud of what she had achieved."

Ms Foulkes grew up in Medway in Kent and went to St Augustine's Primary School in Rainham before moving on to Rainham School for girls.

She had worked for financial company Cabot in West Malling for the last three years and lived with her parents, Julian and Gina, and her 16 year-old sister.

Ken Maynard, chief executive of Cabot Financial, said: "Fran was a valued employee who will be greatly missed by her many friends at Cabot."
