Boy, 14, arrested over Whitstable park stabbing

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after another teenager was stabbed in the stomach at a recreation ground.

Kent Police said the victim, also aged 14, was airlifted to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, after the incident in Westmead Road, Whitstable, Kent.

He is said to be in a stable condition. A knife, which is thought to have been the weapon used, has been recovered.

Detectives said a 14-year-old, from Whitstable, was arrested in High Street on Tuesday evening.

Kent Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact officers.
