Sixth arrest follows gang attack on Isle of Sheppey

A sixth person has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a man was attacked by a gang of youths at a caravan park in Kent.

The 33-year-old from London was treated at Medway Maritime Hospital following the assault on the isle of Sheppey but has since been released.

It is thought the the father-of-two was attacked in Leysdown after he asked people at a party to make less noise.

A 21 year old man from Brixton, south London, has been arrested and bailed.

The victim was initially treated in intensive care but is now said to be recovering steadily.

The force has appealed for anyone with information about the incident in the early hours of 25 July to contact officers.
