Kent woman denies murdering her sister

A 49-year-old woman has denied murdering her sister who was found with multiple stab wounds in a field in Kent.

Phoebe Barton, who lived with her sister in Highfield Road, Chartham, was remanded in custody at Maidstone Crown Court to face trial on 29 November.

The body of Karen Barton was found on land off Rentain Road, near Canterbury, on 9 May.

Tests showed the 51-year-old died from stab wounds.
