A CCTV image of a man suspected of carrying out three raids on bookmakers across Thanet has been released by police.

Officers said a man threatened staff with a knife before emptying cash into a carrier bag during a 24-hour spree.

The first incident happened at 0830 BST on Monday at Coral Bookmakers in Grange Road, Ramsgate.

Later that evening, at 2100 BST, a man robbed a Betfred in Station Road, Birchington.

The following morning, just after 0900 BST, a third raid was carried out at a Coral outlet in Westgate.

Police said they believe the same man carried out all three robberies.

The suspect was wearing a bobble hat, a dark bomber-style jacket with a white-striped hood and beige combat trousers.
