Pedestrian dies after being hit by car near Canterbury

A 21-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by a car which had just left the A2 near Canterbury in Kent.
Police said the accident happened near the bottom of Palmers Cross Hill in Harbledown at 1145 BST on Saturday.
The man was struck by an Audi TT which was heading towards Canterbury. Paramedics attended the scene but were unable to save him.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
