Chatham cannabis factory raided by police

Cannabis plants with a potential street value of £50,000 have been found in a house in Kent during a police raid.

About 400 plants were found on Thursday in five rooms of the house on Dale Street, Chatham which had been converted into a cannabis factory.

Kent Police said a search warrant was granted after information about suspected drug activity was received from local people.

A 26-year-old man arrested at the scene was taken to Medway police station.
