Boy, 14, seriously hurt in attack in Tenterden

A schoolboy is in a serious condition in hospital after being attacked in Tenterden.

Kent Police said the 14-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the attack in High Street, just after 0100 BST.

Forensic officers have been examining the scene near Tenterden Town Hall.

Detectives said the attack may have been seen by a large number of people. They appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
