Driver charged over postman cycle death in Margate

A lorry driver has been charged with causing the death by careless driving of a postman who was cycling to work.
Mick Garner, 61, of Birds Avenue, Margate, was seriously injured in the crash involving a heavy goods vehicle in Marine Parade, Margate, in May.
He was treated at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, but later died.
A 45-year-old man has been charged over his death and is due to appear before Margate magistrates on 1 November.
