Thieves have been stealing wing mirrors from cars in a Medway town with 23 offences reported this month.
Kent Police said the incidents had all taken place since 4 February, and one or both wing mirrors had been removed from a vehicle in each theft.
Vehicles being targeted in Gillingham include Minis, Audis, BMWs and Mercedes cars, officers added.
Det Sgt Chris Dovey said the thieves had targeted cars parked on the road and on driveways.
All the wing mirrors were electrically controlled and the thieves took either the whole wing mirror unit or just the glass, he added.
People living in the area have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.
