Dartford police use Taser on dog after men attacked

Police in Kent have used a Taser stun gun on a dog which attacked two men.

A 27-year-old man was bitten by the dog first as he walked along Great Queen Street, in Dartford, on Tuesday night.

A passing motorist who came to the man's aid as he tried to restrain the dog was also bitten. Both men suffered injuries to their hands and legs.

Officers used the Taser to bring the dog, the breed of which is not known, under control. It is being kept in kennels while the owner is sought.

Both men required hospital treatment after the attack at about 2030 GMT, but have since been released.
