Woman rescued from sea at Hythe 'stable'

A woman been taken to hospital after being rescued from the sea off the south Kent coast.

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was pulled from the water near Stade Court Hotel in Hythe by the Littlestone lifeboat crew on Wednesday.

She was treated on the boat and then by ambulance staff and taken to William Harvey Hospital where her condition has been described stable.

A member of the public had raised the alarm at about 2330 BST.
