Elderly man dies following Kent bypass crash

An elderly man has died in hospital following a crash in Kent which injured two other people.

The 89-year-old, from Whitstable, was seriously hurt when the car he was travelling in collided with another vehicle on the A2050 Harbledown bypass.

Kent Police said he died on Saturday and an inquest was opened and adjourned on Wednesday.

The drivers of both cars were also treated in hospital for minor injuries following the crash on 26 April.

Officers have appealed for witnesses.
