Folkestone assault arrest man freed on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of assault after a 42-year-old man received "very serious" head injuries in a street fight in Kent has been freed on bail.

Police were called to a disturbance in Marshall Street, Folkestone at about 22:00 BST on Friday.

The injured man was said to be in a stable condition in hospital on Sunday.

Kent Police, whose inquiries into the incident are continuing, have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
