Car driver sought over fatal Kent crash

The driver of a white car who may have witnessed a fatal collision near the M25 in Kent is being sought by police.

A 51-year-old man from Luton died when his Vauxhall Combi van collided with a Volvo 380 tipper lorry on the A282 near the Darenth Interchange.

The crash happened at about 08:25 BST on Wednesday. The driver of the lorry, from the Slough area, suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police said the white car had been travelling behind the Combi van.

Appealing for witnesses, PC Rob Malins said the driver would have had a direct view of the vehicle shortly before the incident.

"There is absolutely no suggestion they were involved in the collision, but they could have important information that could help our investigation," he added.
