Four men in armed robbery at Dover Co-op

Four men threatened staff before stealing cigarettes and cash in an armed robbery at a supermarket in Dover.

The men entered the Co-op in Lower Road, River, shortly before the store closed at 22:00 BST on Friday.

Kent Police said it was not yet known exactly how much cash was stolen, or the exact weapons used.

The robbers were wearing high-visibility jackets with their faces covered. They escaped on foot.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, and are particularly keen to speak to a man who bought a pot of jam shortly before the robbery who they believe may have seen the robbers.
