Three men have been arrested over the theft of high-value vehicles from the driveways of homes in Medway.

Kent Police said a 26-year-old from Gillingham and two 20-year-olds from Chatham and Swale were arrested on Tuesday.

They are being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to steal vehicles between September 2011 and January 2012.

The arrests follow a three-month investigation into dozens of thefts.

Det Insp Eddie Fox, of Kent Police, said: "A lot of the offences we have investigated took place while people were asleep in their own homes in the middle of the night which caused a great deal of distress to the victims and their families."
