Image of missing ferry passenger Richard Fearnside released

A photograph of a man who went missing onboard a cross-Channel ferry has been released by police.

Richard Fearnside, 30, from Whitstable, was last seen on the P&O Pride of Kent ferry, from Calais to Dover on 21 May.

The alarm was raised after it docked at 01:00 BST. The ferry was searched but there was no sign of Mr Fearnside.

A lifeboat and helicopter were sent to the scene but the sea search was called off at 06:00.

Mr Fearnside is described as white, of slim build, 5ft 8in tall, with short, cropped, mousey coloured hair.

When last seen he was wearing a black hooded top, blue T-shirt, blue jeans and black and white trainers.
