Canterbury death prompts contaminated heroin warning

A man's death in Canterbury may have been caused by contaminated heroin, Kent Police say.

A 43-year-old man was treated by paramedics at a house in London Road at about 23:30 BST on Monday, but later died.

It is believed the man may have injected heroin just before his death and there is the possibility it was contaminated, police said.

A 41-year-old man from Canterbury was arrested and released on bail.

He was questioned over the supply of controlled drugs and bailed until 10 October.
