Van driver dies after A259 Romney Marsh crash

A 73-year-old van driver has died in hospital 11 days after being injured in a crash with a car in Kent.

The man was driving an Escort van towards New Romney on the A259 when the collision with a Peugeot 206 happened at 19:00 BST on 7 June.

Police said before colliding with the Peugeot the driver lost control of the van as it passed the junction for Lydd. He died from his injuries on Wednesday.

The two occupants of the other car received minor injuries.

Kent Police have appealed to anyone who saw the crash or the vehicles beforehand to come forward with any information.
