Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a Sevenoaks man died from severe head injuries.

Russell Jarrett, 53, died in hospital last month, but Kent Police said they were now treating the death as suspicious following a post-mortem this week.

Officers said two Swanley men, aged 22 and 25, and a 20-year-old woman from Orpington, south London, were arrested.

They were all bailed pending further inquiries until 6 May.

'Found in living room'

Det Ch Insp Tony Pledger said Mr Jarrett, of Twitton Meadows, Otford, had been drinking in The Crown pub in Otford High Street on 11 February.

He was last seen in the early hours the following morning, outside his home.

Ambulance crews were called to Mr Jarrett's house later that day. They found him in his living room with severe head injuries.

He died nine days later in King's College Hospital, London.

Det Ch Insp Pledger wants to hear from anyone who can piece together Mr Jarrett's movements after he left the pub.

"If you think you saw him at any point that evening or the following day and have not already spoken to us, I urge you to get in touch," he said.
