Thomas Brooks convicted over Teynham biker death

A 76-year-old lorry driver has been convicted of causing the death by careless driving of a motorcyclist.

Jeremy Nicholson, 44, of Teynham, Kent, was killed when his Honda motorcycle and the Scania truck crashed on the A2 in the village on 8 September 2013.

Thomas Brooks, of Christchurch Way, Dover, was banned from driving for 18 months at Maidstone Crown Court.

He was also given a residence order for 12 months, meaning he must stay at the same address.
