Man arrested over University of Kent campus sex assault

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman on the University of Kent's campus.

The woman, in her 20s, was attacked on the main Canterbury site outside Darwin College, Darwin Road, between 03:00 BST and 04:00 on Saturday, police said.

A 22-year-old man from the Canterbury area has been arrested and bailed until 17 December.

Kent Police would not confirm whether either person involved was a university student.

It asked anyone with information to contact the force.
