Murder charge after Ashford head injury death

A man has been charged with murdering a 51-year-old who died after suffering head injuries.

The injured man was pronounced dead by paramedics at a house in Bybrook Road, Ashford, on Tuesday.

Darren McKay, 38, of Beecholme Drive in the town, is to appear before magistrates via videolink, charged with his murder.

Kent Police said they were trying to formally identify the dead man and find his next of kin.

A 32-year-old woman from Ashford, who was also arrested, has been bailed until 16 June.
