Eight held after three men are hurt in Blackpool fight

Eight people have been arrested after a fight in Blackpool left a man seriously hurt.

Lancashire Police said the disturbance involved a large number of people in Caunce Street in the resort at about 0330 BST on Saturday.

Three people were hurt and one was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

Caunce Street was closed but has since re-opened. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.

Police said those arrested are all believed to be from the local area.

They are due to be questioned later.
