Driver arrested for moped crash in Charnock Richard


A 49-year-old driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a collision with a moped in Lancashire.

The moped and Peugeot 406 crashed on Park Hall Road in Charnock Richard at 1930 BST on Tuesday.

The rider of the moped, who is 36 and from Eccleston, suffered two fractured legs, a fractured pelvis, and a fractured shoulder.

Police are appealing for witnesses and an investigation is under way into the cause of the crash.
