Police are hunting two armed robbers who targeted a Lancashire post office.

The men entered the post office in Vicarage Lane, Blackpool armed with a gun and a sledgehammer and threatened staff at about 1130 BST on Friday.

But they left the shop, close to the junction with Daggers Hall Lane, with nothing and headed in the direction of Fairway.

The men are believed to be aged between 20 and 25, and were both around 6ft (1.83m) tall with slim builds.

One of the men was wearing a hat.

Police have asked witnesses to contact them.
