Lancashire Police name M6 crash victim

Police have named a woman who was killed when her car careered off the M6 and landed on its roof in a field.

Police believe Victoria Makishti, 30, from Fulwood, lost control of her car near the Charnock Richard services.

Lancashire Police said the car was in the outside lane of the motorway, crossed the carriageway and ran up an embankment before ending up in a field.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to the accident which took place on Saturday between junctions 27 and 28.
