Man fell ill before fatal crash in Clitheroe

A man has died after falling ill at the wheel of his car moments before it crashed and turned over in Lancashire.
Police said the man, who was in his 50s, was driving on Pendle Road in Clitheroe at about 1100 GMT on Saturday when the incident happened.
He and his son, who was a passenger in the car, were cut free from the wreckage by fire crews.
The man was airlifted to Royal Blackburn Hospital by air ambulance but died a short time later.
His son was shaken but uninjured.
The road was closed for two hours after the crash while the scene was investigated.
A police spokeswoman said no other vehicles were involved.
