Charges over Fleetwood taxi office murder

Two people have been charged with the murder of a man who died four months after being assaulted in Lancashire.

Allan Taylor was attacked at a taxi office on Preston Street, Fleetwood, in the early hours of New Years' Day. He died at his home on 22 April.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent in May, but were re-arrested on Wednesday as a result of further inquiries.

A 27-year-old woman and man, aged 22, have now been charged with murder.

The pair, who are both from Fleetwood, were due to appear before Wyre Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

Detectives from Lancashire Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of Mr Taylor's death and have appealed for witnesses.
