Sixty-one people arrested in Lancashire Police raids

Sixty-one people have been arrested in Lancashire, following a three-week long operation to target organised crime.

Police raided 46 homes in Preston and seized drugs with an estimated street value of £15,000, four cars and £46,000 in cash.

Officers said the action was part of a crack down on robbery, burglary, violence, and drug dealing.

Supt Stuart Noble, of Lancashire Police, said criminal activity had been "significantly disrupted".

He added: "Such behaviour will simply not be tolerated and we will continue to take action to make our communities even safer.

"Information from residents about criminal behaviour is vital.

"I would urge anyone with any information about those responsible for crime in their area to tell us about it."
