Two rifles and a shotgun were stolen from a house in Lancashire, police have said.

A burglar climbed through the window of a house in Longsight Road, Clayton le Dale, on Thursday afternoon.

He fled with the guns, three laptops and cash, with another man in a bronze coloured Peugeot 406.

Det Sgt Nigel Watson, of Lancashire Police, said: "We are always very concerned when firearms fall into the hands of criminals."

The burglar was described as white, with a slim build and aged 20 to 30.

He was wearing a green or blue trousers with braces and an olive round-neck jumper.
