Football fans have been warned trouble will not be tolerated at a Lancashire derby later.

Championship sides Preston North End and Burnley are due to play at Deepdale at 1500 GMT.

Ch Insp Matt Horn, of Lancashire Police, said matches between the two clubs were always passionate but generally passed off peacefully.

"But for that small minority who are thinking of causing trouble then do not bother," he added.

"We will not tolerate anyone causing disorder and spoiling the fun for other people."

Police have also warned Burnley fans they will be kept in their seats for 10 minutes after the game.
