Lancashire Police have seized a samurai sword, thousands of pounds in cash and suspected stolen property in a series of raids in Preston.

Officers searched addresses in New Hall Lane, where the sword was discovered, Oxley Road and Princes Reach under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A 27-year-old man and a woman, 29, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering but were released on bail.

Police said the raids were addressing the concerns of local residents.
